1-to-1 Support for Families

Book a personalised 1:1 session with Lynne, Wellbeing and Life Coach, for parenting, relationship and educational support, advice, guidance and resources.

Book a personalised session 1:1 with one of our Sensory-Integration trained Therapists to help you better understand and support your child’s sensory and neurodivergent needs, including Autism, ADHD and AuDHD.

Attend our regular open meetings of Parent Peer Support

Request an awareness-raising session for your local parents, or for your school staff.

We’re Recruiting: Volunteer Coordinator!

We are now looking for someone to take on the important role of Volunteer Coordinator.

This is a paid position, made possible through funding from the Lottery Community Fund Awards for All.

This role will help us reach and support more people across our local community.

Role overview:

• Be a friendly point of contact for families, volunteers and local supporters
• Help grow and support our community of volunteers
• Organise and support local events and community activities
• Build connections with local organisations, venues and partners
• Help raise awareness of sensory and neurodivergent needs across the community
• Support parent sessions, training events and community meet-ups
• Assist with local outreach such as fairs, school events and information stalls
• Support fundraising initiatives and community engagement

Role details:

• Approx. 4 hours per week
• £15 per hour (plus agreed expenses)
• Initial 6-month role, with potential to grow

You would play a key role in helping us reach more families and create inclusive, supportive spaces across our community.

You do not need specialist experience to make a difference. Whether you have a few hours a week or just a small amount of time to give, there is a place for you at The Fidget Project. Here are some of the ways you can get involved: 

Fundraising & Strategy 

  • Support the planning and delivery of fundraising events
  • Coordinate raffles, giveaways and prize draws
  • Assist with donor outreach and partnerships
  • Help organise community-based fundraising campaigns

Comms & Awareness

  • Support or manage our social media channels
  • Help write impact stories, newsletters or blog posts
  • Contribute to content creation such as images or videos

Behind the Scenes

  • Help identify and apply for relevant grants
  • Support bid writing and reporting
  • Provide general administrative support

We have a growing Lending Library of sensory equipment, books and resources. Come and borrow (e.g.) a scooter board or weighted blanket or safety pod andreturn it with a review for our website. 

Join our team to offer refreshment and resources at our support sessions where weoffer a safe confidential space for people to share their experience and expertise.
